    Overview

The Nasal Spray Reconstitution Kit bundles the two things a laboratory needs to convert a lyophilized peptide vial into a spray-format research preparation: an empty, sterile 15 mL bottle fitted with a fine-mist metered pump, and a matching bottle of buffered, preservative-containing spray diluent. The kit contains no active peptide; it is a set of consumables used with peptides purchased separately, and it is the same hardware used for our pre-filled Semax and Selank spray products.

Questions about Nasal Spray Reconstitution Kit

Does the kit contain any peptide?

No. The Nasal Spray Reconstitution Kit is hardware and diluent only: a sterile 15 mL metered spray bottle and a matched buffered solution. Peptides such as Semax or Selank are purchased separately and prepared into the bottle in the laboratory.

What is in the diluent and how is it different from bacteriostatic water?

The diluent is a sterile, buffered, isotonic solution with a preservative, formulated for solutions that will be dispensed from a spray bottle. Bacteriostatic water is unbuffered, hypotonic water with benzyl alcohol. Either can dissolve the peptide, but the buffered diluent is better suited to holding a spray-format solution over a study period.

How many actuations does a 15 mL bottle provide?

That depends on the pump's metered volume and how much solution the researcher chooses to prepare. Fine-mist pumps in this format typically dispense on the order of 0.1 mL per actuation, so a full 15 mL bottle can supply well over one hundred actuations. Confirm the actual volume by weighing a few actuations.

Which peptides can be prepared with this kit?

The kit is used with spray-format research peptides including Semax, Selank, oxytocin, PT-141 and NAD+, and with our Selank/Semax pre-mixed vials. Any lyophilized peptide that is stable in a buffered aqueous solution can in principle be prepared this way; check the individual product COA for solvent guidance.

Is the kit tested and documented?

The spray bottles are supplied sterile and individually sealed, and the diluent carries a lot number and expiration date. Because the kit contains no peptide, HPLC purity does not apply; documentation for the diluent lot is available on request.
