Each component was chosen for the way it is actually used at the bench. The bacteriostatic water contains 0.9% benzyl alcohol so the same diluent vial can be entered many times over a study. The 31G syringes have a fine, short needle that passes cleanly through rubber stoppers, and their 0.01 mL graduations make it easy to measure the small volumes used to set peptide concentration. The prep pads are used to swab every stopper before it is punctured, a simple step that greatly reduces the chance of contaminating a multi-draw vial.

Are the kit components sterile and documented?
The bacteriostatic water is manufactured as a sterile, non-pyrogenic product with a lot number and expiration date, and the syringes are supplied sterile in individual wrappers. Documentation for the water lot is available on request. Because the kit contains no peptide, HPLC purity does not apply.
Can I use the kit for spray-format preparations?
