Testagen is a synthetic tetrapeptide with the sequence L-lysyl-L-glutamyl-L-aspartyl-glycine (Lys-Glu-Asp-Gly, or KEDG), supplied here as H-Lys-Glu-Asp-Gly-OH with free termini. It sits in the Khavinson short-peptide bioregulator series as the sequence associated with gonadal and reproductive tissue preparations, following the same design logic as the rest of the family: take a tissue-derived peptide extract, identify a short active sequence, and reproduce it synthetically so that experiments can be run on a defined molecule.

Its sequence is a one-residue extension of Vesugen (KED) with a terminal glycine.
